Due to sickness Sari had to put Blixten to the eternal sleep at the age of 8,5 years.
This lovely, big and beautiful dog will be missed by all that had the opportunity to know him.Many thanks to Sari that took such a good care of him and loved him so much.
Blixten will live further, not only in our memory but also in his beautiful offspring. He is the grandfatheter to our D-litter.

He was doing very good in the show ring. At the age of 19 months he had gained three CAC, two Reserve CAC and one Reserve CACIB at seven shows. He also has became BOS and SBOS-Junior.
At the age of two years and two months he gained his fourth CAC and became Finnish Champion. It was at the Finnish Borzoi Clubs Specialty 2004 there he also became BOS - he beat 42 males, at lot of champions! The week after he was BOB at a Finnish Kennel Club Show. This year he was top ranking at three out of four lists at the Finnish Borzoi Club
2006 he became Estonian Champion, Russian Champion and Newsky Winner'07 and qualified to Cruts
2007 he added Estonian Winner'07, Lithuanian ClubWinner'07, Lithuanian Champion and FinnishWinner'07 to his name.
2008 he became International Champion.

Blixten was doing some lure-coursing too. The first time he started was at the big "Finnish Borzoi Club's Lure Courser 2004"  where he was placed as 8^th of 36 entries! His points was 221+220. I think it's rather good though it was his first start! At the second competition he came at third place - not bad that either! His points was 232+226. Both times he got CK.

2007 Blixten became a father to 2+5 puppies at Kennel Krestovskaja in Finland out of Krestovskaja Avalanche - this combination has a great pedigree. The puppies go back to nice old bloodlines that I would like to use by myself! I wish Jaana Karppanen good luck with the puppies.
Sari kept one son after Blixten; Krestovskaja Braveheart (Toivo) and he is now the father to our D-litter here at kennel Barowiak.
